Town of Bolton acquired a 90-acre parcel known as the former Valley View Farm in 2000 that included open fields and woodlands, a historic house and barn complex and an archaeologically intact Revolutionary War encampment for Rochambeau’s infantry. Upon assuming ownership the Town worked assiduously to document the historic integrity to the site and buildings, and to plan responsibly for future use.

Our work for the Town began with a Condition Assessment Study that included a detailed history of the site and individual buildings as well as a Feasibility Study for adaptive reuse. Subsequently we worked with the Town to undertake the first phase of restoration of the barn complex and after a barn fire in 2015 we worked again to restore fire damage and complete restoration of the barn exterior.
