The Cowles House, one of two historic homes on the grounds of the Lewis Walpole Library, is believed to date to 1784 and is one of the significant historic homes in the Farmington Main Street Historic District. Our work for the Library included a comprehensive exterior envelope restoration of the18th-century Cowles House and an early 20th-century addition by architects Delano and Aldrich. The work also includes restoration of multiple slate-roofed barns and other historic outbuildings; as well as significant improvements to the campus site.
